Prescription

Islamic Dream Interpretations by Ibn Sirin

Prescription

(See Grammarian)

Grammarian

(Linguist; Philologist) A grammarian in a dream represents preventive medicine, drug prescriptions, avoiding evil pranks, or it could mean a cover for one's head. A grammarian in a dream also means embellishment of one's words, making a flowery speech, falsification or exaggeration. Seeing a grammarian in a dream also means balance, unbalance, gossipry, pretension and ostentatiousness. If a falsifier becomes a grammarian in a dream, it means that he will turn truthful and become known for it. If he is a heedless person, it means that he will receive guidance. If he is a sinner, it means that he will repent for his sins. If he stammers, it means that he will prosper after having suffered from poverty. The same interpretation is given for one who suffers from dumbness. If he is sick, it means that he will recover from his illness. (Also see Linguist)

Cases

  • preventive medicine
  • drug prescriptions
  • avoiding evil pranks
  • a cover for one's head
  • embellishment of one's words
  • making a flowery speech
  • falsification or exaggeration
  • balance
  • unbalance
  • gossipry
  • pretension and ostentatiousness
  • repent for his sins
  • prosper after having suffered from poverty
  • recover from his illness

Linguist

(Blunder; Genealogist; Grammarian) In a dream, a linguist represents blunder and foolish talk, or he could represent a translator, a guide, a road expert, a genealogist, emulating a good example, or he could represent a talkative person who does nothing about his habit, or one who does nothing in relation to what he says. (Also see Blunder; Grammarian)

Cases

  • blunder and foolish talk
  • translator
  • guide
  • road expert
  • genealogist
  • emulating a good example
  • talkative person
  • does nothing about his habit
  • does nothing in relation to what he says

Blunder

(Foolish talk; Nonsense; or people's foolish talk) Blunder in a dream means disobedience, sin or refusing to accept good advice. To make a foolish oath in a dream means repentance of a sinner and guidance for a disbeliever. (Also see Grammarian; Fool; Linguist; Lying)

Cases

  • disobedience
  • sin
  • refusing to accept good advice
  • repentance of a sinner
  • guidance for a disbeliever

Fool

Impudence; Shamelessness; Silliness; Stupidity. To make a fool of oneself in a dream means ignorance. To play silly before people in a dream means spiritual losses or foolishness. However, silliness in a dream is also interpreted to mean victory over one's enemy, rising in station or expansion of one's authority, if he is pretending.

Cases

  • ignorance
  • spiritual losses
  • foolishness
  • victory over one's enemy
  • rising in station
  • expansion of one's authority

Lying

(Blunder; Lies; Tell a lie) Lying in a dream means giving false testimony in court, fabricating a lie, slandering someone, or it could mean constant failure in one's life. Lying in a dream also means talking nonsense, or letting one's imagination do the talking, or spreading a sharp idea. If someone hears that in a dream, and if he spreads the word, then the negative effects of his doing will bring more harm than good. If one sees himself lying to God Almighty in a dream, it means that he has no brain. (Also see Blunder)

Cases

  • giving false testimony in court
  • fabricating a lie
  • slandering someone
  • constant failure in one's life
  • talking nonsense
